KEMSA Delivers Sh29 million Medical Consignment to Nyamira

Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has started distributing Sh29 million worth of medical commodities in Nyamira, to be completed by the week's end. Governor Amos Nyaribo commended the partnership with KEMSA and announced a Sh300 million revolving fund to ensure continuous health product supply to county hospitals.

Distribution of Sh29 million assorted medical commodities in Nyamira by Kenya Medical Supplies Authority kicked off today and is expected to conclude by end of this week.

Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo commended and acknowledged the partnership with KEMSA, citing it as instrumental in providing residents of this county with access to quality, reliable and affordable healthcare Products and Technologies that saves and transforms lives.

While receiving the consignment at the County Headquarters in Nyamira, he called on the health workers to ensure proper utilization of the medicines supplied, so that they benefit mwananchi.

Further, he disclosed that plans are underway to establish a revolving fund of Sh300 million to guarantee seamless supply of Health Products and Technologies to all level 4 hospitals across the county.

The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority County Sales Representative Susan Akumu pledged to support the county’s commitment to healthcare by working closely with the Health Committee Teams to quantify the demands.

She urged the county to continue supporting KEMSA by making timely payments upon receipt of supplies because this will help the Authority maintain adequate stock levels on all essential medical supplies.

KEMSA has mobilized its distribution teams to deliver the consignment to all the 126 facilities in the shortest time possible.

The Authority is leveraging on technology to improve its Order Turn Around Time so that customers are able to receive timely care and ultimately promote better health outcomes.
