GEARING UP FOR CULTURE CHANGE

The
Authority has embarked on an ambitious strategic organisational culture change
journey to streamline and strengthen critical processes to effectively deliver
on KEMSA’s mission of availing quality and affordable Health Products and
Technologies to save and transform lives.
This
process coupled with review of its Human Resource Instruments is informed by a
detailed workload analysis that seeks to identify the optimal staffing for
KEMSA to improve its supply chain function.
“Our
HR instruments journey is at infancy stage, its success is anchored on the
concerted efforts of the management and its partners, to develop a structure
that will transform KEMSA into a centre of excellence,” explained Dr. Waqo
Ejersa, CEO, KEMSA.
The CEO
observed that the new structure is coined to improve healthcare supply chain
delivery by making it leaner and more agile to efficiently and consistently
respond to customers’ needs.
Culture
Implementation Teams have been formed to steer the organizational wide
transformation processes that will align the Authority’s internal culture with
its vision and core values to win public trust and restore strategic partners
confidence.
Dr.
Waqo said the culture change exercise will create an environment where staff
feel valued, boost morale, which will in turn contribute to better work
co-ordination and enhance performance.
