Dr. Waqo Ejersa, CEO of KEMSA, along with the Management team, met with a UNICEF delegation led by Benjamin Mayer to sign a five-month extension to their long-term agreement.
The discussions focused on expanding collaboration in the supply of nutritional products to support the thousands of malnourished children across the country. The meeting also explored opportunities for broader support, including maternal health and assistive devices such as hearing aids and wheelchairs.
Dr. Waqo emphasized KEMSA's commitment to fast-tracking the completion of the ERP system, which will enhance operational processes and improve visibility and accountability across the entire supply chain.
UNICEF commended KEMSA for developing and implementing the Integrated Logistics Management Information System, which strengthens end-to-end visibility.
A key takeaway from the meeting was the need for capacity building to further improve operational efficiency.
