The KEMSA board and management, led by Chair Mr. Samuel Tunai, along with the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Health, chaired by Dr. Robert Pukose, deliberated on the recapitalization of the Authority to ensure a stable supply of medical commodities.

The meeting focused on identifying immediate opportunities to enhance KEMSA's funding, aiming to ensure the timely and consistent availability of Health Products and Technologies within the supply chain. This initiative is crucial in preventing disruptions that could lead to treatment delays, higher healthcare costs, and inefficiencies in healthcare delivery.

KEMSA's recapitalization efforts are designed to improve the availability of essential supplies, ultimately strengthening the healthcare sector’s capacity to effectively serve the public.
