KEMSA Earns Double Recognition for Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health in the Public Sector – 2025
7/4/2025

The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has been honored with two prestigious awards for outstanding implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practices in public sector.
In a competitive field featuring 56 public institutions nationwide, KEMSA's Embakasi National Supply Chain Centre secured 1st place in the newly introduced ‘Public Sector OSH Challenge – Occupational Safety & Health Practices and Standards’ category. Meanwhile, the Kisumu Regional Distribution Centre was awarded 3rd place, further underscoring KEMSA’s commitment to workplace safety.
The accolades were based on a rigorous and unannounced inspection exercise conducted by the Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services (DOSHS) under the Ministry of Labour in April, 2025.
Representing the Authority, Caroline Nyamai, KEMSA’s OSH Officer, received the awards at the annual ceremony held in Nanyuki, presided over by Laikipia County Governor Joshua Irungu.
This event coincided with global commemorations of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement, which reaffirms KEMSA’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of occupational safety and health across its facilities.
