President Ruto Sets the Bar: KEMSA Tasked with 100% Order Fill Rate

Today, we were honored to host H.E. President William Ruto at our stand during the Devolution Conference in Homabay County. The President’s visit was a significant moment for us, providing a unique platform to present our work, innovations, and contributions toward strengthening Kenya’s healthcare supply chain.

We had the opportunity to showcase our role in ensuring equitable access to high-quality health products and technologies across the country, in line with the government’s vision for universal health coverage.

During the engagement, the President challenged KEMSA to work towards achieving a 100% Order Fill Rate, emphasizing the critical role this plays in meeting the healthcare needs of Kenyans without delays or gaps. Currently, our order fill rate stands at 57%, in the next two months we are scaling up to 78% as we accelerate towards the 100% target.

His remarks reaffirm the importance of strong partnerships between national agencies, county governments, and other stakeholders in delivering sustainable healthcare solutions. This interaction not only validates our ongoing reforms, technological advancements, and capacity-building initiatives but also inspires us to push harder toward operational excellence and innovation in fulfilling our mandate.
