KEMSA Deepens Ties with Busia County in Devcon 2025 Side Meeting
15/08/2025

On the sidelines of Devcon 2025, KEMSA seized the momentum to strengthen county-level collaboration, holding a high-impact meeting with H.E. Dr. Paul Otuoma, Governor of Busia County.
Led by KEMSA Director of Commercial Services Eliud Muriithi and Board Director Dr. Jane Masiga, the engagement resulted in a commitment to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Service Level Agreement (SLA) laying the groundwork for improved access to essential health products and enhanced service delivery in Busia.
Governor Otuoma welcomed the recognition of Busia as the most improved county in health product management and payments. He praised KEMSA’s reform strides and rising order fill rate, calling them "game changers" for county health systems.
In a firm show of support, the Governor directed that all health product procurement must go through KEMSA unless otherwise authorized, reinforcing trust in the Authority’s capacity and accountability.
This strategic side engagement underscores how platforms like Devcon 2025 are not just conferences, but catalysts for real action in transforming healthcare across counties.
