KEMSA Donates Medicines and Pallets to Embakasi Health Centre in Marking Customer Service Week

As part of this year’s Customer Service Week celebrations themed “Mission: Possible,” KEMSA donated essential medicines and pallets to Embakasi Health Centre, in a gesture aimed at improving patient care and strengthening storage and handling efficiency within the facility.
The initiative reaffirmed KEMSA’s commitment to ensuring the availability of quality and affordable Health Products and Technologies across all levels of healthcare.
Located less than a kilometre from KEMSA Headquarters, Embakasi Health Centre serves more than 377,000 residents from Embakasi, Pipeline, Utawala, and parts of Machakos County making it a vital medical hub for community health services.
The donation, tailored to meet the facility’s specific needs, reflected KEMSA’s customer-centric approach and its focus on fostering meaningful partnerships with healthcare facilities nationwide.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Eliud Muriithi, Director Commercial Services, who represented Dr. Waqo Ejersa, KEMSA CEO, reiterated that KEMSA’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy is now anchored on sustainability and long-term community impact. He noted that KEMSA has accelerated its transformation journey by improving its order fill rate, reducing turnaround time, and enhancing engagement with county pharmacists to ensure product relevance.
“Partnerships like this strengthen our shared goal of ensuring reliable access to quality health commodities for every Kenyan. When we work together, we build trust, enhance efficiency, and ultimately improve lives,” said Mr. Muriithi.
Jackline Mainye, Deputy Director, Customer Service, highlighted that Customer Service Week serves as a reminder that service excellence goes beyond transactions.
“Customer Service Week reminds us that our impact goes beyond supply; it’s about listening, engaging, and creating real value for the health facilities we serve,” she remarked.
