KEMSA Strengthens Strategic Partnerships to Enhance Access to Essential Health Products

KEMSA has intensified efforts to strengthen Kenya’s health product supply chain following a strategic engagement with the leadership of DP World Kenya.

KEMSA CEO Dr. Waqo Ejersa, accompanied by Director Commercial - Eliud Muriithi, Director Procurement - Moses Sudi and Director Finance & Accounts - Waiganjo Karanja, held discussions with the DP World Kenya leadership, led by Managing Director Dr. Marseille Onyango.

The engagement focused on strengthening the availability, accessibility and affordability of essential health products while exploring opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency, resilience and sustainability across the health sector.

The discussions also brought together regional leadership from AstraZeneca, led by Dr. Amit Bhakri, Alliance Director–Sub-Saharan Africa, reflecting the importance of strategic industry partnerships in expanding access to medicines for cancer and other non-communicable diseases.

KEMSA continues to advance strategic partnerships with global and local industry players in support of its mandate to ensure optimal availability and stocking of quality, safe and affordable health products, in line with Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage agenda.
