The
Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) has announced the relocation of its
headquarters from the Industrial Area.
The
headquarters which was based along Commercial Street will now be based at the
authority's National Supply Chain Centre in Embakasi.
The relocation is effective May 1,
according to a notice seen by the Star.
The
changes, Kemsa said, will centralise its operations for improved service
delivery to Kenyans.
"KEMSA
wishes to inform the general public and all stakeholders that our headquarters
will be relocating from Commercial Street, Industrial Area to The National
Supply Chain Centre in Embakasi off Airport North Road, with effect from May 1,
2024.
"The
move will centralize our operations and inject efficiency for improved service
delivery," the Authority said.
Kemsa
however, noted that their contact details remain the same even as they move.
The
authority reiterated its commitment to provide reliable, affordable and quality
Health Products and Technologies and supply chain solutions that save and
transform lives.
"Our
phone numbers and email addresses remain unchanged and customers can continue
to access all services at the new office location uninterrupted."
This
comes barely a year after the new board of directors officially assumed office.
The
board chaired by Irungu Nyakera was sworn in at the Kemsa Embakasi Depot by
Health CS Susan Wafula in May 2023.
The
new members inaugurated include Hezborn Oyieko Omollo, Bernard Kipkirui, Jane
Masiga and Jane Mbatia.
